The Bicentennial Man set created in the Diablo Valley

Pleasant Hill, quiet community of the Diablo valley, doesn't have anything glamourious like Hollywood, just is the location of my modest studio. Nevertheless some wood clocks for the movie, staring Robin Willams, the Bicentennial Man, were born here. After many drawings and real scale clay models, I had to move and execute my work in the San Raphael area.
What a thrill to use my art in the movie industry, tune Heart with Art with the challenge of everybody's different personality. Thank you to the entire staff and a special attention to Ann and Isaac, who gave me all the support and opportunity to realise this hand carving project all the way to the end.

Harmony with Nature in the Diablo valley

Too many people don't realize that we are living in an exceptionally beautiful valley, surrounded by rolling hills and mountains, only twenty miles away from the Pacific coast. In our Danville, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette valley, we have plenty of opportunities finding our favorite spot to built our home, assembling a power regenerating windmill, making your own honey, growing vegetables, planting varieties of fruit trees. A large number of trails and a pleasant weather invite us to hike Mont Diablo all year around. I am glad to be a part of this special community. Enjoy your life here, and every day.

Building in Lafayette

Framing phase of the house on Sessions road

We also love music in our Diablo Valley.
Here is Denise playing an old violon that she had restored.

Lucky me when I build the last home on Sessions road in Lafayette, a decade ago. Beeing right at the border of Briones State Park, I used to enjoy an hour walk during my lunch time, looking at the breath taking view. Overseeing only the reservoir , with no freeway, no other sign of civilisation, gave me the impression that I owned the lake.
Good time dreaming..........
